Renewable Energy Infrastructure Funding

Here at Brigg Macadam we have a particular focus on renewable energy infrastructure funding. We honestly believe that renewable energy will only grow and in many cases renewable energy can be the answer to emerging markets and areas that cannot connect to a national transmission grid.

The reason for this is that we believe that renewable energy can allow local generation and local distribution that can facilitate a “leapfrog” structure where electricity can be delivered locally, therefore not needing a connection to a national transmission grid.

We have relationships with commercial lenders and Development Finance Institutions who have particular interest in expanding renewable energy generation in Africa and other emerging markets.

Who Are We?

We are a company with decades of experience in fundraising for frontier and emerging markets. We started out as Macadam in 2003, before being refounded as Brigg Capital in 2013. Then, in 2017, we merged with Doonbeg Capital Limited and renamed Brigg Macadam.

Why We Do It?

When most people flick a switch, they expect the lights to turn on. When they run a tap, they expect water to flow. For over a billion people in the world, this isn’t the case and it’s not because the money isn’t there for the infrastructure needed. We find that often project owners don’t know how to access the money and that is where we can help. We understand the market and know the investment community and can help raise the necessary funds.
